Ingredients

  • 4 cups Green Beans (Canned, Fresh, or Frozen)
  • 10.5 oz Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1/2 cup Milk (Whole or 2%)
  • 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 1/3 cups Crispy Fried Onions
  • Salt (Optional, to taste)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) and prepare a 1.5-quart casserole dish by greasing it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Drain canned green beans and add them to the soup mixture, stirring gently to coat.
  4. Fold in about 2/3 cup of crispy fried onions into the green bean mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes until the sauce is bubbling.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 2/3 cup of crispy fried onions on top and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let it stand for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Ensure to drain beans well to avoid a runny casserole. You can prep the dish in advance and store it in the fridge for up to 24 hours before baking.
