Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the macaroni until al dente.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onions, breaking the meat into small crumbles.
- Once the beef is no longer pink, drain excess grease and add minced garlic, cooking for one more minute.
- Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce, then let simmer for about five minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in sour cream and two cups of shredded cheese.
- Fold in the cooked macaroni until evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spread evenly, and top with the remaining cup of cheese.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbling.
- Let rest for five minutes before serving.
Notes
For best results, shred your own cheese from a block. Do not overcook the pasta, and let the casserole rest after baking to ensure the sauce sets properly.
