Ingredients
  

  • 16 ounces Ziti Pasta
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1/2 pound Italian Sausage
  • 32 ounces Marinara Sauce
  • 15 ounces Ricotta Cheese
  • 3 cups Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 cup Yellow Onio
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Boil salted water and cook the ziti pasta until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, cook ground beef and Italian sausage until browned, then add onions and garlic, cooking until translucent.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce and oregano, simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, half of the Parmesan, and one cup of mozzarella with salt and pepper.
  6. Layer one cup of meat sauce in the baking dish, add half the pasta, spoon ricotta mixture, and half the remaining sauce. Repeat layers.
  7. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan, cover with foil, and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
